Kohima, August 16 (MExN): Normal traffic on the segment of National Highway-29 near Dzüdza Bridge was completely disrupted on August 15 due to continuous mudslide near the bridge.
In this connection, the Kohima Police has advised commuters take alternate route via Peducha Bridge-Tsiesema (10 Mile road) to avoid inconvenience.
Earlier on August 14, the Deputy Commissioner Dimapur informed that in view of restoration work to remove a landslide at Dzüdza under Sechü Zubza, the segment of NH-29 along the stretch will be closed to all traffic, including light and heavy vehicles, from 11 AM to 4 PM from August 16 to 18.
During the road closure, all traffic will be diverted to the Peducha Bridge to Tsiesema (10 Mile Road), stated on order issued by the DC.
In addition, light vehicles were advised to use Dzüdza bridge-Mezo Basa-Sechüma-Sechü Zubza during the restoration period.
All commuters are advised to plan their journeys accordingly to avoid inconvenience, it added.
