KOHIMA, JANUARY 31 (MExN): In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 31 of the Nagaland Municipal Act 2023, the Governor of Nagaland has appointedretired DGP, T John Longkumer as the State Election Commissioner with effect from the date of assuming charge for a period of 5 years or till he attains the age of 65 years, or until further order or whichever is earlier.
The terms and conditions of the appointment of T John Longkumer as the State Election Commissioner will be regulated in accordance with Rule 3, 5, 6, 7 & 8 of the State Election Commissioner (condition of service) Rule 2023, informed a notification issued by the Additional Secretary to the Government of Nagaland and published in the Nagaland Gazette Extraordinary on January 30.
