Dimapur, May 19 (MExN): Illegal structure and properties constructed at the DPRO office site in Dimapur were removed on May 18.
A report from the DPRO Dimapur stated that the eviction drive was conducted under the directives of DC Dimapur, Sachin Jaiswal IAS, District Administration led by SDO (C) Sadar, Yanthungbemo Kikon, GBs and police personnel from Commissioner Police office, Dimapur.
It may be mention that the ongoing construction of multimedia cum State Convention Center in the said site has been hampered due to encroachment by private party. “With the encroached land being cleared and structures removed, the contractor has assured to commence the construction work latest by coming Monday,” DPRO Dimapur Lolano Patton informed.
On behalf of IPR Department, the DPRO Dimapur has expressed gratitude to DC Dimapur, GBs and Commissioner Police for the prompt action initiated by evicting the illegal structures and protecting the Government land.
Along with DPRO Dimapur, Joint Director, Simon and Assistant Director, Atuzo from the Directorate of IPR were also present during the eviction process.
