Hundreds turn out at health camp

Over hundreds of inhabitants availed the health services at the health camp held at Mezoma village on February 11.

In a press release, Chief Medical Officer, Kohima, Dr. Vezokholu Theyo informed that the Reproductive Child Health (RCH) camp was organised by Chief Medical Officer, Kohima along with District Health Society, Department of Health and Family Welfare, NHM.

The camp was conducted by CMO Kohima and all programme officers, DPMU, BPMU Sechu block, MO I/C with Sechu PHC tea, MO Khonoma PHC and MO I/C with Mezoma PHC team.

A short function was organised where MO Mezoma PHC, Dr. Ruyangulie Paphino chaired the programme. CMO, Dr. Vezokholu Theyo encouraged the gathering to avail the services and also partake in various group discussions for a healthy life style and to practice for better health seeking behavior.

Dr. Vezokholu also reminded the participants of health camp on the responsibilities of each and everyone in bringing about health awareness to uplift the health of the society in general and for contribution of the individual in particular.

Besides screening of Ante Natal Care/HIV (ANC), dental procedure, malaria, NCD, etc, lab test were provided and free medicines and IEC materials were distributed to the participants of the camp. Altogether, 133 inhabitants turnout to avail health services at the Health camp, the release stated.
