Eco Club ‘Mission for Life’ conducts cleanliness drive in Tuensang town

The Eco Club ‘Mission for Life’ of Government Higher Secondary School (GHSS) Thangjam conducted a cleanliness drive at the Night Super Stand area in Tuensang town on June 15. The initiative aimed to foster environmental awareness and promote green initiatives among students and the local community.

The Night Super Stand area was selected for its significance as a public space and its current need for maintenance and care. The club’s team of volunteers comprised of students and faculty members, conducted the activity efficiently and without disrupting the daily operations of the area.

“We believe that this initiative will not only beautify the space but also instill a sense of responsibility towards the environment among the participants and the onlookers,” said Imkongsenla Sangtam, Principal of Government Higher Secondary School Thangjam. “It is our hope that with community support, we can make a substantial impact on the well-being of Tuensang.”

EAC Tuensang from the District Administration, Toking attended the event and offered words of encouragement to the volunteers. “We believe that this initiative will not only beautify the space but also instil a sense of responsibility towards the environment among the participants and the onlookers,” said a representative from the Eco Club. “It is our hope that with community support, we can make a substantial impact on the well-being of Tuensang.”

The cleanliness drive is part of the club’s ongoing efforts to create a cleaner and healthier environment.
