KOHIMA, NOVEMBER 27 (MExN): The Directorate of School Education has informed that winter vacations for schools functioning under the Department of School Education have been cancelled.
A report from the DIPR said that schools will remain closed on account of Christmas and New Year Holidays from December 23 to January 3 and will resume functioning from January 4 onwards.
School heads, teachers and other staff have been directed to remain in their respective places of posting with effect from January 4 and continue with the activities related to the online/offline continuous learning programmes and other training programmes to be launched by the department.
It was further informed that a separate notification will be issued regarding the re-opening of schools for the academic session 2021. Till such time schools have been asked not to ask students to come for regular classes for the 2021 academic session. It may be noted that remedial classes for classes 10, 11 and 12 will continue, which will be notified by the NBSE.
