CRC Phek village golden jubilee culminates

The Golden Jubilee (1974-2024 celebration of the Christian Revival Church (CRC), Phek village culminated today. Speaking at the Sunday morning service, Rev. Senuto Ringa, General secretary, NCRC, shared the word of God based on the theme, emphasizing the significance of the jubilee as a biblical milestone.

Rev. Ringa reflected on the church’s 50-year journey, recalling God’s faithfulness throughout the years.

He encouraged the congregation to introspect whether they still stand firm on the foundation laid by their forebears. Stressing the essence of liberty in the spirit of jubilee, he urged believers to forgive one another in the name of our Lord and move forward with hope in Jesus Christ, leaving behind past struggles and focusing on a brighter spiritual future.

‘Strive for deeper faith, transformation’
MLA Kuzholuzo (Azo) Nienu, leader NPF Legislature Party, who also hosted Golden Jubilee feast delivered greetings to the congregation.

Expressing his joy over God’s abundant love, Azo highlighted jubilee as a time for reconciliation between humanity and God.
He exhorted the believers to go beyond being lukewarm Christians and instead strive for a deeper faith, transformation, and unconditional love.

He emphasized the church’s role in saving souls and growing spiritually through the jubilee celebration. Rev. Z. David Koza, Executive secretary, CCCRC released Golden Jubilee souvenir.

The worship service was led by Veshe Chizo and Bible reading by Surhotalu Soho.

The service witnessed offertory prayer by Sapi Puro and special praise by CYE CRC Phek Village and CYE PVBC.

Lord’s Supper was administered by Rev. Vekhohu Dawhou, bringing the congregation together in a solemn moment of reflection and unity.

‘Year of jubilee is to forgive and forget’
Rev. Dr. Vevozo Khamo, National Coordinator, JHOPFAN spoke on the topic “Envisioning the promising future” at the evening worship service.

He said that Jubilee celebration is only for the children of God and “it is a time to preach the words of God to others for the church has reached its maturity as we had celebrated the 50 years.”

The year of Jubilee is to forgive and forget, he said adding that with the coming of Jubilee “we are restored with liberty.”
Stating that “we are living in a grace period at present,” Rev. Dr. Khamo asked the believers to be prepared and receive the Holy Spirit for the coming of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.”

Greeting was shared by Phek Village Council chairman Chivozo Soho.

The programme was led by Kuzhohii Soho with Bible reading from K. Dikha Sono, chairman CCRC Pfutsero, Sub Division, Sub Council.

CYE, CRC Phek village presented special song while vote of thanks was proposed by Ozo Venuh.
