CONNECT TO REVIVE: ANPSA Mokokchung holds common prog

The All Nagaland Private School Association (ANPSA), Mokokchung Unit held a common programme under the theme ‘Connect to Revive’ at Town Hall, Mokokchung on August 4 with Nini Sekhose, President, ANPSA Central as the theme speaker.

Nini Sekhose in her speech stated that in spite of the achievements and laurels, there have been challenges too. She mentioned that many developed countries and leading world companies have Indians, leading them, and that itself is an achievement of the Indian system of education.

She motivated the students by saying that “God will strengthen them to dream big, so they should have the capacity to dream big. Dreaming Big- Dreaming big enough of being able to contribute to society’s transformation and to push others towards success.” 

She also spoke about competitions conducted by ANPSA and encouraged the schools to hold healthy competitions, celebrating true sportsmanship and with the intention of promoting each other.

Short speeches were presented by Deputy Commissioner Mokokchung, Tsüvisie Phoji, NCS, Sentinenla, District Education Officer and Onenpong, Vice-president, Ao Kaketshir Mungdang.

The DC Mokokchung lauded the private school teachers, for the fact that prominent figures, pioneers, and influential personalities are mostly produced in private schools. He urged the dedicated teachers to dedicate themselves and to be good role models the students could look up to. He encouraged the teachers to have a holistic approach to their teaching beyond the curriculum and textbook contents.

Sentinenla, District Education Officer, appreciated ANPSA organising committee by saying that events like this provide platforms for students to showcase their talents and build a bond amongst the school students and teachers. She urged the teachers to impart the types of education that can keep up with the present world, like value education, inclusive education, and mental and technological education. She added that education should also focus on vocational Education, mental well-being, lifestyle, and sanitation.

Onenpong Vice-President, AKM marked that being a teacher is not an easy feat and encouraged the private school teachers to take the lead in producing the best. He also exhorted the students to buckle up, and compete with the world.

The programme witnessed two sessions where students exhibited their talents through different presentations. Presently, 25 schools are registered under All Nagaland Private Schools Association, Mokokchung Unit.
