CM inaugurates Phek DC office complex

Nagaland Chief Minister, Neiphiu Rio today inaugurated the Deputy Commissioner’s Office Complex, Phek in coinciding with the celebration of the 50th anniversary of Phek district at Phek town.

In his speech, Rio said that combined efforts of the politicians and government employees as public servants and together with public leaders will serve the people of the Phek district and bring development to the grass root level.
In technical report, Er Sungtiba Amer, Assistant Chief Engineer CAWD Nagaland said that DC Office Complex, Phek was conceptualised during 2007-08 as per the requirements of the incorporating all the requisite requirements. He saluted the contractors Keduo-o Zumu and Jack Dozo representing the firm of M/s Keduo-o Zumu for the job well done.

The project costing Rs 9,72,46,000 is a (G+2) storied RCC structure with a total plinth area of 30271 Sq ft
It consist 56 rooms including store rooms and 29 bathrooms.

The complex houses Deputy Commissioner office, election, NIC, District Hub for Empowerment of Women (DHEW), Disaster Management and Aadhaar Cell.

He said that Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio had taken keen interest of the proposal for the new DC office complex, Phek which was proposed by MLA Kuzholuzo (Azo) Nienu and accordingly, sanctions were accorded and the work started in earnest. He also congratulated CAWD Advisor Kudecho Khamo for being able to complete the office Complex in toto during his first-year tenure as Advisor, CAWD.

The inaugural function was chaired by Phek Deputy Commissioner, Kuko Mero while Rev Dr Thepucuyi Khesoh, Pastor Phek Town Baptist Church invoked God’s blessings.
