Kiphire, September 19 (MExN): The Miss Kiphire pageant was organized by Meraki Entertainment Nagaland after a gap of 15 years.
During the event at the Kiphire Local Ground, Chingkela Sangtam was crowned as Miss Kiphire 2022 and walked away with a cash prize of Rs 50,000 and gift hampers. She also bagged the Best Model subtitle.
Pisala Sangtam bagged the 1st Runner-Up title with a cash prize of Rs 30,000 with gift hampers while the 2nd runner-up title went to Azila Sangtam with a cash prize of Rs 20,000 and gift hampers.
Meanwhile, the other subtitle winners included Thingpila Sangtam (Ethnic Wear and Miss Multimedia); Seola Sangtam (Best Walk and Viewers Choice); Azila Sangtam (Miss Popularity); and Leishnao Tikhir (Miss Personality).
The hampers for all the winners and subtitle winners were sponsored by Lisu Care Pure and Natural, according to a press release received on Sunday.
The event was graced by Kyüpise Sangtam, Traders Cell Convenor, BJP Nagaland as special guest.
As per the release, 14 contestants vied for the title and went through three rounds— modern ethnic wear round, casual round and evening gown round.
It also said that Sanjeev Tamang groomed, mentored and choreographed the event, with Ralan Patton as the contestant manager.
The event was hosted by Imnasenla Rachel and Tsase Annar.
Moko Koza performed as a guest artist. The show also had three local artists namely, Khulong Sangtam, Tsasela and Modern girls and Dreamz Unlimited made a special appearance in the show, the release stated.
The designer of the event was IWSN Training Centre, Dimapur and the pageant was judged by a panel consisting of Lovi Awomi, VLCC Femina Miss India Nagaland, Likhumla, Vice President, Ladies Club and Longtise, Asst Professor, Zisaji Presidency College.
Meraki Entertainment Nagaland has been hosting various shows such as Mister Kohima, Mister Dimapur and Mister Chümoukedima. Established in 2018, it has been working to promote, develop and stimulate the growth of Naga youth in the field of arts and the fashion industry, the release stated.
