Kohima, September 15 (MExN): The Chief Electoral Officer (CEO), Nagaland V Shashank Shekhar, IAS along with his team of officers and some BLOs from Kohima District joined the launching programme of BLO e-Patrika by the Election Commission of India through video conference at the CEO Office.
An update from V Shashank Shekhar, IAS, CEO, Nagaland stated that the BLO e-Patrika was formally launched by the Chief Election Commissioner, Rajiv Kumar along with Election Commissioner, Anup Chandra Pandey on September 14 at Indian Habitat Centre, New Delhi. There is more than 10 lakh BLOs (Booth Level Officers) throughout the country. Many of them also viewed the programme through the online mode.
The BLO e-Patrika will be a bi-monthly publication prepared by the SVEEP Division in digital format. The commission is bringing out the publication with an aim to ensure direct periodic and timely communication with BLOs who are critical and vital link to provide electoral services to citizens. It is a new venture of ECI publication which aims to recognize and appreciate the continued efforts and sacrifice made by the BLOs for voter registration, door to door survey for updating and clearing the Electoral Rolls, etc to conduct elections in a free, fair, inclusive, participative and accessible manner.
The BLO e-Patrika will be available in CEO Nagaland website ceo.nagaland.gov.in as well as in all CEO Nagaland social media platforms.
