MOKOKCHUNG, JULY 20 (MExN): On the occasion of the 55th Bank Nationalization Day in India, State Bank of India Officers’ Association (NEC), Mokokchung Region, and AIBOC state unit organized a blood donation camp and tree plantation drive at Imkongliba Memorial District Hospital (IMDH), Mokokchung.
Dr. Marina Yaden, Medical Superintendent, IMDH Mokokchung, appreciated the noble cause initiated by SBIOA and highlighted the importance of blood donation. She also remarked that the bankers were not only working towards nation building but also helping to save lives through this activity.
During the inaugural program, Imtisanen Ao, CCM, SBIOA (NEC) gave the opening remarks and welcomed all the participants. Lokho Peter AGM, RBO Mokokchung, highlighted the importance of the nationalization of banks, which started in 1969, where public sector banks have played a crucial role in the country’s development in all economic sectors.
During the day-long program, 20 units of blood were collected and a tree plantation drive was initiated at IMDH and at SBI Mokokchung Branch.
