AYUSHMAN BHARAT DIWAS: Nagaland celebrates 4th anniversary of AB-PMJAY

Kohima, September 24 (MExN): Under the aegis of National Health Mission, the commemoration of 4th year anniversary of Ayushman Bharat Diwas, a function was held at the conference hall of Chief Medical Officer, Office Kohima on September 23.

Dr Imchatoshi, Dy CMO, gave talk on health awareness. Specifically highlighting on Ayushman Bharat scheme, he stated that Ayushman Bharat-Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY) is a Centrally Sponsored Scheme having central sector component under Ayushman Bharat Mission anchored in the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW). It is an umbrella of two major health initiatives, namely Health and Wellness Centres and National Health Protection Scheme.

A beneficiary testimony was shared by Thekruyie Pienu from Nerhema village-PMJAY while Zunietso Khamo from NHAK was felicitated with the best performing PMAMS.

The special guests, DC Kohima Shanavas C, IAS stated that AB-PMJAY programme is a privilege for marginal group where the government has given the best scheme for the under privileged group in reaching the health services by availing cashless benefits. The beneficiaries who can avail services from any empanelled government or private hospital across the country was also mentioned by special guest.

Shanavas also stated that more awareness should be disseminated to generate demand and consistent follow up mechanism should be monitored. Accordingly, the concerned department should constantly supervised feedbacks and should have integrity to improve the figures in days to come. Dr Rupert Peseyie, DPO (RMNCAH+N/UIP) gave the vote of thanks.

Longleng: Ayushman Bharat Divas was celebrated at Longleng with DC & Chairman District Implementation Unit, AB-PMJAY, Longleng DC, Dharam Raj as special guest at DPDB hall, Longleng on September 23. 

Speaking on the occasion, the DC highlighted the benefits of the Ayushman Bharat Scheme and its importance to the gathering. He informed that the Government of Nagaland will soon launch the Chief Minister’s Insurance Scheme covering the Government employees. It will also cover those left out beneficiaries by the Ayushman Bharat Scheme, he added.

The DC called upon the gathering to sensitize the people regarding the benefits of the Scheme for mass awareness and avail the facilities provided by the Government.  

Earlier, welcome address was proposed by Dr Obangjungla CMO, Longleng and keynote address by Dr Philip Kent, Deputy CMO & District Nodal Officer AB-PMJAY, Longleng. Testimony by beneficiary was shared by N Belong Phom and special number by Lipom, Vaccinator and friends. The DC also felicitated Dr Lipok Phom, Jr Specialist (Medicine), District Hospital, Longleng for best performing staff. 

The programme concluded with vote of thanks by Dr G Thong, SMO & Nodal Officer AB-PMJAY, District Hospital, Longleng.

Phek: Phek celebrated 4th anniversary of AB-PMJAY and 1st anniversary of Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission at Dr Wethselo T Mero Memorial Hall, DH Phek with Tsenthungo E Nhullie SDO (Civil) Phek as the special guest on September 23.

Dr Khriezotuo Paphino, CMO in his keynote address shared a brief notes on AB-PMJAY and ABDM. He highlighted the registration status and E-Card generation created till date. He shared the benefits, facilities etc. available under PMJAY scheme. A brief highlights on Chief Minister Health Insurance Scheme was also presented.

The SDO (C) Phek in his speech encouraged the stakeholder to create awareness in their respective colonies on the benefits of PMJAY scheme so that every eligible beneficiary can avail the scheme. He reiterated that administration shall support any awareness activities if needed in the district.

Khruvotso, a beneficiary of PMJAY in his testimony shared how he got benefitted through PMJAY Scheme for his surgery and also in the recent serious illness.

Award was given to Khruvozo for generating the highest E-Card in the district and Vetsuyo Vero, the best performing staff under Phek district.

The programme was chaired by Dr Chitale Hiese, Dy CMO and vote of thanks was delivered by Vetsuyo Vero, Dist Coordinator AB-PMJAY.

Dimapur: To mark the 4th anniversary of AB-PMJAY, Ayushman Bharat Diwas was celebrated in Chief Medical Officer’s Conference Hall, Dimapur on September 23. 

R Nokchalemba, District Co-ordinator in his keynote stated that AB-PMJAY provides free treatment up to Rs 5 lakh per family per year with no cap to family size and age.

Sachin Jaiswal, IAS, DC Dimapur stated that the scheme is a people-friendly scheme and therefore, the people should get the most benefit and in order to achieve this, orientation programmes and awareness about this scheme should be raised in all media.

R Nokchalemba, District Co-ordination and Thangkholun, BIS Operator were awarded District Level Best Performing Staff and highest E-Card generation in the district respectively.

Limabenla, a recovered Dialysis patient shared her testimony on how AB-PMJAY helped her financially during her treatment. The programme was chaired by Dr Antoly Suu, Deputy Chief Medical Officer, Dimapur and vote of thanks was delivered by Esther, District Programme Manager, NHM. 

The programme was attended by Dr I Moatemjen, Chief Medical Officer, Dr Khrielasanuo Metha, Medical Superintendent, District Hospital Dimapur and representatives from empanelled hospitals, National State Rural Livelihood Mission Dimapur, Labour Department Dimapur, Oriental Insurance Co. Ltd, Paramount Third Party Agency, and Clairvoyance Technology and also present were Officers and staff under CMO Dimapur.

Mokokchung: Celebration of Ayushman Bharat Diwas, the 4th anniversary AB-PMJAY and 1st year anniversary of Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission was held at the Conference Hall, CMO office Mokokchung on September 23.

Dr Sentirenla R Jamir, Nodal Officer, AB-PMJAY IMDH on her keynote address informed about its key features, eligibility & criteria, requisite KYC documents for generating AB-PMJAY E-Card, about ABDM, eligibility criteria and benefits of ABHA health ID.

Shanshak Pratap Singh IAS, DC & Chairman DIU, Mokokchung, in his speech stated that, “prevention is better than cure” in this sense, almost all health units are working towards prevention. He mentioned in his address about the benefits of AB-PMJAY and how it covers almost 50% of the population of India. He urged for wide publicity of AB-PMJAY scheme and congratulated the awardees for their performance. 

Repalepla, Ungma village testified on how AB-PMJAY Scheme had benefited her. Merangba, PMAM, CHC Changtongya and Limatenzük, District coordinator, AB-PMJAY were awarded for highest E-Card generation and best performing staff respectively. Dr Limanaro, DPO (NCD) delivering the vote of thanks and the programme was chaired by Dr Limatula Aier, CMO, Mokokchung.

Wokha: One day district level training on standard treatment guidelines, International Classification of Diseases 11 (ICD-11), International Classification of Health Interventions (ICD-11) and Health Benefit Package 2022 (HBP 2022) of AB-PMJAY for medical officers and nurses was held at CMO’s Conference hall, Wokha on September 23. 

Dr Zuben Kikon, Deputy Chief Medical Officer, Wokha delivered the welcome address. Chief Medical Officer, Wokha Dr Toshirenla urged the participants to co-ordinate and work together in order to improve the health facilities in the district. 

Ajit Kumar Ranjan, IAS, DC Wokha and Chairman District Health Society highlighted on the importance of AB-PMJAY in terms of usefulness for the hospital management and administration. More services within AB-PMJAY will generate more revenue for the hospital, he added. 

Wokha DC informed on the Ayushman Health Card coverage in the district stating that it was the lowest in the state and the district administration along with the district AB-PMJAY team is working together to improve coverage by focusing on villages with low coverage. AB-PMJAY BIS drive was recently conducted at Lotsu village for this purpose and the response from the villagers was positive, he said. 

Regarding the Standard Treatment Guidelines and International Classification of Diseases, the DC highlighted on the importance of understanding it as most of the health services are getting digitized and called upon the health workers to implement it at their health facilities. 

The resource persons for the training were Dr Chumdemo Kikon, Medical Officer, District Hospital Wokha and Dr Chiben Kithan, District Programme Officer, Kohima. The training which was attended by DPO (NCD), DPM, and DPMU Staffs concluded with vote of thanks by Oponthung Kinghen, Consultant UPHC Wokha.

Kiphire: Ayushman Bharat Diwas and one year anniversary of Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission was observed at the Conference Hall, District Hospital Kiphire, organized by District Implementation Unit, Kiphire, on September 23.

Speaking at the event, special guest, T Wati Aier, DC, Kiphire stated that medical professionals are noble doers and he appealed them to continue their services. He said that their services impact the people and society at large and called on the medical personnel to serve the community sincerely and wholeheartedly. 

Deputy CMO, Dr Kolhitso Khalo delivering keynote address about AB-PMJAY stated it is a people healthcare scheme that benefits the underprivileged and low income group.

Yangkhumse, an Ayushman Bharat beneficiary gave a testimony. Venrity, Ayushman Mitra, was given the award for generating the highest E-Card in the district while Yangtsapila, District Co-ordinator, AB-PMJAY, was awarded the best performing staff. 

Zunheboto: Ayushman Bharat Diwas 2022 was observed at CMO Office Zunheboto in the presence of Rahul Bhanudas Mali IAS, DC Zunheboto as the special guest. 

Welcome Address & Keynote Address on AB PM-JAY was delivered by Vibo P Jekha District Coordinator & ABDM. 

During the programme, an award for the highest E-Card generation in the district during AapkeDwarAyushman initiative was presented and felicitation of best performing staff (at District level) who has significantly contributed in the implementation of the scheme was acknowledged. 

Vote of thanks was prolonged by Dr Zathung Lotha, CMO Zunheboto. 

COVID-19 Vaccination Poster campaign was also launched by the DC.
