To catch up with rest of the tribal morungs, members of the two tribes are leaving no stone unturned to ensure that their respective morungs are ready before the start of the festival.

Speaking to Nagaland Post at the site, Kohima Ao Telongjem (KAT) officials said they were working on a war footing to ensure that the morung got completed on time. They said the State government had assured them assistance, though the union was currently constructing it on free will.

Mentioning that erecting a log drum house too was in progress, the KAT said that the morung would be ready soon.

Similarly, under the initiative of Chang Union Kohima, the community’s morung too is under repair. CUK office-bearers said the government assured to provide them raw materials, which were expected anytime now, they added.
