Dimapur, June 27 (MExN): Nagaland has now achieved 71.42% Functional Household Tap Connections (FHTCs) coverage as on June 26, announced Jacob Zhimomi,  Minister for PHED and Cooperation, on Monday.

Despite the inhospitable terrain and innumerable challenges, we remain committed to fulfilling Narendra Modi’s vision of Har Ghar Jal (water in every household), he added, announcing the achievement on Twitter.

Zhimomi further maintained that the achievement will serve as a “springboard for us to re-dedicate ourselves and work for public welfare with renewed commitment.”  “Congratulations to everyone involved. We keep marching,” he added.

According to the PIB, since August 2019, the Government of India, in partnership with States, is implementing Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) to make provision of potable water supply to every rural household through FHTC.
