25 police and para-military bands from across India have turned up for the 25th All India Police Band Competition being hosted by the Assam Rifles in Nagaland. Nagaland Governor La Ganesan declared the competition open at the inaugural programme on November 18 at the Assam Rifles Training Centre & School, Shokhuvi, Chümoukedima.

“Let this event be a reminder of the strength of our nation’s spirit, the dedication of our police forces and the unifying power of music,” said Ganesan, in his address.
