MOKOKCHUNG, AUGUST 12(MExN): The 24 Angetyongpang NDPP AC, which began its door-to- door registration for Chief Minister’s Health Insurance Scheme (CMHIS) on November 28, 2022 has recently registered 64 and 98 beneficiaries from Chakpa and Salulemang respectively. The registration drive was initiated and implemented by the 24 Angetyongpang AC NDPP and sponsored by Tongpang Ozukum, Advisor, Water Resources.
In a press release, the Angetyongpang AC NDPP expressed sincere appreciation to Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio for launching such a tremendous scheme for the welfare of the people. The organization is looking forward to more cooperation for the development and upliftment of society as a whole, it added.
Meanwhile, Salulemang Village Council chairman S. Meren Jamir, and Chakpha Village Council chairman Imkonglemba appreciated Tongpang Ozukum for his tireless efforts in sponsoring the scheme and encouraging the people to get access to such schemes which will benefit everyone.
There are 12 units under 24 Angetyongpang AC where 20 person from every unit were trained and deployed as operators for proper implementation of the registration drive.
Altogether, 2406 beneficiaries have registered for the scheme since November 28, 2022. The 24 Angetyongpang AC, NDPP asserted that it was giving all efforts to make sure that the scheme reaches every eligible beneficiary in its constituency and urged upon the general public to come forward and register to avail the benefits of the scheme. It also informed that those willing to register can contact their respective unit operators and the AC office anytime.
CMHIS is a public health insurance scheme of the Government of Nagaland to provide free health insurance cover of 5 lakh per family per year. The scheme covers 1950 diseases for treatment in empanelled clinics, hospitals across the country.
