Two persons were killed while four others were severely injured in a tragic road accident at Tuophema village in Kohima district on November 19. Source said the Tata Sumo in which they were traveling rolled down the road. Two deceased Lothrong Yimkhiung and Chongki Ajung (husband and wife) were killed on the spot. Their three sons (Kamba, Hankam and Lashi) and sister-in-law (Narola) were severely injured and under medical treatment at Naga Hospital Kohima.
Meanwhile, Yimkhiung Union Kohima (YUK) condoled the death and prayed for the departed soul to rest in peace and also prayed for the injured to recover soon.
YUK president A. Akum Yimkhiung thanked Tuophema village Council, Tuophema Church,Chang Union Kohima, Eastern Nagaland People’s Union Kohima and all the individuals for extending help during this unfortunate time.
