Correspondent KOHIMA, OCT 17 (NPN) : In a delayed report, a woman in her early 60s was killed and two others injured when an undetected bomb exploded at Chenloisho village under Mon district during a social work Friday morning.
Informing this to Nagaland Post, superintendent of police Mon, Imnalensa said that incident occurred around 11.30 a.m. when a group of womenfolk had gone to clear the area for the Bible school programme. Soon after the incident, police and Assam Rifles personnel rushed to the spot, which is located near the AR outpost.
As per initial reports, SP said an undetected explosive device went off when the womenfolk were clearing the area, killing one person and injuring two others. The injured were rushed to Mon district hospital.
SP said that a case has been registered with Aboi police station and investigation was on to ascertain how the unexploded devices were lying in the area.
