Major changes expected to take place in Nagaland BJP setup soon

Major changes are expected in the organization structural set up soon in order to re-strengthen the party at all levels, informed a press communiqué from the Media Cell, BJP Nagaland.

This is in the aftermath of the recent success in the 13th concluded  Nagaland State Legislative Assembly Election where the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Nagaland won 12 of the 20 seats it contested in the 60 member Assembly. This according to the BJP was more than 60 % of winning ratio.

 

As such it was stated that major changes are expected in the State unit soon in order to re-strengthen the party at all levels. The exercise is expected to be aimed at consolidating the party’s presence in Nagaland.

 

The media cell also explained that this revamp was in conformity to the recent visit of Ananta Mishra Secretary Organisation to the Delhi BJP head quarter from April 22-26. It was informed that Mishra had met several BJP central leaders including the National BJP President Amit Shah, National General Secretary (Org.) Ramlal, Nagaland Election in-charge & MoS for Home Kiren Rijiju and National General Secretary cum North East in-charge for political affairs Ram Madhav.

It was disclosed that the official from the Nagaland State unit submitted a detailed report of the party affairs related to the recently concluded election of the State. The Central leaders have reportedly expressed satisfaction with the State unit’s performance.

 

As directed by the high command, the State unit will be organising a Training Camp for the BJP Legislators, State, District and Mandal Level workers shortly, it was informed.

 

Meanwhile, Ananta Mishra also met the former Prime Minister and the first BJP National President  Atal Bihari Vajpayee and former National BJP President Murli Manohar Joshi, which were described as very cordial.

 

Recalling the past, Murli Manohar Joshi said in the earlier days of 1985, the entry of BJP in the State faced with stiff opposition however he managed to plant few activities with handful of workers and stayed for four days at Kohima. “Today, the victory of BJP in the State speaks volume that the people’s priority is development and has high hopes on BJP”, the media release stated.

 

While congratulating and appreciating the people of Nagaland in general and all party rank and files in particular for bring the party to victory in the State, Murli Manohar Joshi also reminded the immense contribution & participation of PB Acharya the then BJP North East in-charge and presently the Governor of Nagaland.
