Trouble flared in the disputed Lamhainamdi settlement, again. As per an incident report dispatched by the Commissioner Nagaland to the state Home Commissioner, one vehicle (Maruti Gypsy) and a motorcycle was torched by unidentified persons in a spot said to be located in “Lamhainamdi Block-5.”
The report, citing the ADC, Jalukie, said that the incident happened at around 4:00 pm, October 8. There was no report of any casualty however.
Following the incident, it stated that there was apprehension of tension between the parties in the dispute with people from both sides gathering. On account of the situation, it sought additional deployment of security forces to the site of the incident.
