State BJP team tour to Eastern Nagaland culminates

Kohima, September 25 (MExN): Nagaland state BJP president Benjamin Yepthomi along with his team, had toured all 20 Assembly Constituencies of Eastern Nagaland as part of the State Presidential Mandal Tour for “Sadasyata Abhiyan- Membership Drive.”

The tour started from 41st Tizit A/C on September 4 and culminated today, covering 59 Seyochung, Sitimi A/C.

During the tour programme, Yepthomi expounded on the importance of strengthening the organisational structures of the party at the grassroots and also impressed upon the party karyakartas to ensure maximum participation during the ongoing membership drive.

Meanwhile, September 25 will mark one year completion of Yepthomi in office as the state BJP president.

Within a span of one year, the State President had not only toured all the Districts of Nagaland but had covered 30 Assembly Constituencies including the 20 Mandals of Eastern Nagaland, thereby creating history as the first and only State BJP President to have extensively toured and connected with the grassroot people.

Earlier, on September 12, during the state president’s maiden visit to 52 Longkhim Chare Assembly Constituency, former RPI candidate Sethrichem Sangtam, founder and managing Director of Better Life Foundation Nagaland & recipient of the 1st Dr Rohini Nayyar award in 2022, joined the BJP along with thousands of his supporters.

During the state president’s visit to 60 Pungro/Kiphire Assembly Constituency on September 23, former deputy speaker of 13th Nagaland Legislative Assembly and RPI candidate for 2023 General Election Yangseo Sangtam from 60 A/C Pungro, Kiphire had officially merged with the BJP with thousands of his supporters in a grand program at Kiphire town, according to Media Officer & Convenor, State Media Cell, BJP Nagaland.
