Naga Mothers’ Association receives Excellence in Social Service Award

Dimapur, January 9 (MExN): The Naga Mothers’ Association (NMA) received the “Excellence in Social Service Award” at the ninth edition of the Achiever Awards under the patronage of the Sadin-Pratidin Group which was held at Srimanta Sankaradeva Kalakshetra in Guwahati on January 5.

A press release received here stated that “NMA is a civil society organization which was established by women in 1984 in Kohima, Nagaland. The organisation has consistently tried to address problems of conflict, peace building and substance abuse by creating a platform for dialogue that brings together disparate voices.”

Sadin-Pratidin Group has endeavored to applaud achievers from all walks of life. These awards are a felicitation to personalities who have excelled in their foray of service. For the last eight years, the group has felicitated achievers from different fields like sports, art & culture, environment, science, journalism, media, corporate, business, public service, social service and many other categories.

Union Cabinet Minister, Ministry of Women & Child Development and Minority Affairs, Zubin Irani graced the occasion as chief guest, along with Chief Minister of Assam, Himanta Biswa Sarma and Union Cabinet Minister, Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways, Ministry of AYUSH, Sarbananda Sonowal as guest of honour.
