NU SAS’ Honeybees and Pollinators Centre receives twin awards

DIMAPUR, SEPTEMBER 13 (MExN): The All India Coordinated Research Project on Honeybees & Pollinators, Medziphema Centre at SAS, NU, received two awards during the annual group meeting cum annual workshop held at Bengaluru from September 4 to 6. 

Altogether, 26 centres from different parts of the country participated in the event and AICRP Honeybees and Pollinators Center, School of Agricultural Sciences (SAS), NU Medziphema, Nagaland, won two awards. 

The first award is ‘Best Presenting Centre 2022-23’ and the second is ‘Best Reporting Centre 2022- 23’. It is the first time that any centre has been conferred two awards at a time. Last year during 2021-2022, the centre was awarded ‘Best Reporting Centre’ in the country. 

The awards were received by Dr Avinash Chauhan, Principal Investigator, All India Coordinated Research Project on Honeybees and Pollinators (AICRP{HB & P}), SAS, NU Medziphema campus. The mementos were handed over by Project Coordinator cum Member Secretary ICAR, New Delhi, Dr Sachin S Suroshe, Expert Commitee members and other dignitaries. 

On receiving the awards, Pro Vice-Chancellor, SAS NU, Medziphema Campus, Prof Akali Sema and Head, Department of Entomology, Dr Imtinaro L, along with whole SAS fraternity congratulated the staff of AICRP Honeybees and Pollinators for bringing more laurels to the university.
