Thenyizumi Students Union Kohima holds Fresher’s Social

The Thenyizumi Students’ Union Kohima (TSUK) today conducted its 28th fresher’s social meet at Baptist High Auditorium, Kohima with Vahine Thisa, Director of Treasuries & Accounts, Government of Nagaland as the guest speaker.
Speaking on the occasion, Thisa advised the students to work with devotion and strong determination to build a career starting from higher secondary education with extra efforts to compete with others.
She exhorted the students to set priority and inculcate a habit to learn everyday so as to contribute towards personal growth for the future.
Citing the importance of self discipline, Thisa told the students that it enables a person for perfection.
The director also advised the students to seek and fear God while also commit their plans to Him and develop a positive thinking to overcome the challenges and also gain self confidence.
Thenyizu village council chairman Medothi Rhakho congratulated the toppers and advised the students to work hard for academic excellence.
Earlier, presidential address was delivered by TSUK president Sevotalu Porü. Education and statistical report was presented by Adulü Sencila Kapü. The programme also witnessed folk song from Thenyizumi Women Society and special number by Melutolu Thisa. Meanwhile, Metsilu Swiho, HSLC Top 7 and Vetolu Yomi HSLC Top 18 delivered toppers talk while a speech on behalf of Freshers was delivered by Nukhovelu Dawhuo.
A new team of TSUK for the tenure 2023-24 will be led by Avolu Theyo as president, Besuta Vero as vice-president and Kehuzhoyi Resu as general secretary among the others. The programme was led by Vedezo Victor Rokha.
