Twenty four HSLC & HSSLC Examination 2023 toppers from the Angami community have been honoured today by Angami Students’ Union (ASU) and Angami Women Organization (AWO).
In felicitation programme, jointly organised by ASU and AWO at AWO Ki, Kohima, a total of nine HSLC toppers, 13 HSSLC toppers and two Tenyidie Subject toppers were honoured with citation alongwith cash.
Speaking on the occasion as resource person, Dr Hovithal Sothu, Project Director, Task Force for Music & Arts (TaFMA), Nagaland congratulated the toppers and thanked them for bringing laurel to the Angami community. Praising their hard work and dedication, he called upon them not to rest on their achievement, but to stay committed to achieve greater success in life.
This is just the beginning, he told the toppers and asked them to get through the next level. Where do we go from here?, he said and reminded that the next level will be tougher and more competitive in nature. “Hard work is a must as you move on. Complacency should never be allowed to set in,” he said.
Further, he asked the students to maintain consistency in studies and always aim to be number one in this competitive world.
Earlier, the programme was chaired by ASU Auditor General, Kekhrievotso Medoze. AWO President, Neilhuzono Nagi invoked God’s blessing. ASU President, Khriesamhalie David Mere shared greetings. Ruokuovininuo Solo presented special number while Nourhengunuo Kire spoke on behalf of the toppers.
Later, Dr Rokovilie Sachü, pastor Khedi Baptist Church prayed for toppers.
