ACVA Wokha dist objects multiple taxation demand

Wokha, May 20 (MExN): In regard to multiple taxation/demand note received from various factions, the All Commercial Vehicle Association (ACVA) Wokha district has resolved that until and unless the factions comes under one government, ACVA has decided not to extend any co-operation to taxation notes.

The association resolved this during the second session of their 9th foundation day observed at Lotha Hoho Ki on May 17. 

A press release issue by ACVA Wokha, President, Renbi Ngullie and ACVA Wokha, General Secretary, Nyanbemo Patton has also stated that the association will extend fullest support to the ultimatum regarding the ongoing construction of NH-2 starting from 72.40 Km to 83.00 Km. 

It mentioned that the ultimatum was served by Wokha Village Youth Organisation, Wokha Village Council, Wokha Village Women Organisation, Wokha village Students’ Union and Wokha Village Elders’ Forum setting a six day deadline to district administration to intervene in the ongoing construction of NH-2 starting from 72.40 Km to 83.00 Km and appealing to ensure that the works are carried out/implemented as per necessary specification.

Earlier, giving the opening remark, ACVA Wokha district, President Renbi Ngullie said that the association was established in 2014 with the objective to work for the upliftment of various affiliated units under ACVA. The association also focuses to work for the welfare of its members as well as to streamline as to how satisfactory and effective service can be provided to the general public, he stated. 

The function was chaired by Mathew Jami, General Secretary Mini Truck Union, Wokha with special number by Zach’s Jeru Ezung while vote of thanks was proposed by Nchumthung Yanthan. 

Later, the associated units participated in a car rally which stated from local ground, Wokha.

Meanwhile, ACVA has appealed its members to contribute their annual membership fee of Rs 100 positively.
