As per a firefighter, the fire was intense, aggravated by multiple LPG cylinder blasts, which made the task more challenging for the firefighters. It took almost three hours to completely douse the flames with the trucks requiring multiple refills to bring the fire under control.

An unnamed firefighter from Fire Station (Central) was also injured during the incident. He sustained a minor injury to the head reportedly inflicted by a flying projectile from an LPG cylinder blast.
