Similar camp for taxi drivers on March 25

The Urban Primary Health Centre (UPHC), Seikhazou, Kohima, has organized a special outreach Health Camp for street vendors of Kohima on March 18 in the Super Market area, Kohima.
Along with specialists from Naga Hospital Authority Kohima, the UPHC, Seikhazou extended facilities/services to the street vendors in respect of free consultation, distribution of free medicine, Immunization for Pregnant Mothers (TD) and children 16 year & below, free basic laboratory services and screening, etc.
Over 100 street vendors availed the various facilities during the camp.
Dr Bilva Yalie, Medical officer in charge, UPHC Seikhazou informed that similar health camp will be conducted for ANTA taxi drivers at Inter-State Bus Terminus (ISBT), Kohima on March 25.
Dr Yalie said that UPHC Seikhazou and UPHC Potterlane cover the urban Kohima population. It also caters to even nearby villages. We target especially urban poor people, street vendors, migrant labours and low income group, she said.
These groups of people can avail the services, absolutely free of cost including free registration, free medicines, free consultation etc.
She said that UPHC Seikhazou have been functioning since 2014 and certified as National Quality Assurance Standards in 2019 and got re-certification last year. We are targeting for comprehensive health care, Dr Yalie added.
