KOHIMA, FEBRUARY 20 (MExN): Governor Designate of Nagaland, La. Ganesan arrived in Kohima on Sunday, February 19.
A press release from the PRO, Raj Bhavan informed that on his arrival, the Governor Designate was accorded the customary Guard of Honour by the Nagaland Police Mahilla (IR) contingents. He was received at Raj Bhavan, Kohima by the Nagaland Chief Minister, Neiphiu Rio and his colleagues, the Chief Secretary, the DGP Nagaland, the Home Commissioner and other senior officials.
The Governor Designate will be sworn-in at the Raj Bhavan Kohima on February 20 at 10:00 am.
Ganesan had served as the 17th Governor of Manipur from 2021 to 2023 and also served additionally as Governor of West Bengal from July 18, 2022 to November17, 2022. Prior to serving as Governor, he was senior leader of Tamil Nadu BJP.
Outgoing Governor of Nagaland, Prof Jagdish Mukhi was accorded a farewell at the Dr Imkongliba Ao Hall, Raj Bhavan on February 17.
