Dimapur, February 19 (MExN): A fire broke out in a residential building (semi-kutcha) near Faith Hospital, Dimapur on the evening of February 18, partially destroying the structure.
According to Vikhoto Chuse, officer incharge from West Fire Station, Dimapur, there were no reports of casualties. However, an unknown estimate of properties was damaged due to the inferno affecting several families who were living in the building.
It was reported that there were 12 families living in the rented building at the time of the incident.
Although officials were not able to confirm, the fire broke out from the inside the room of one of the tenets when they were not at home. “It could be due to a short circuit,” stated G Apan, owner of the building.
