Hornbill Festival witnesses highest turnout on day-4

Propelled by domestic tourists as well as locals, the fourth day of the ongoing 23rd edition of the Hornbill Festival at the Naga Heritage Village, Kisama witnessed the biggest turnout so far for this year on December 4.  The figure is a big improvement over the first day, the biggest so far this year, when there were 25,577 visitors. 

A total of 19, 393 tourists visited the Heritage Village on Sunday, informed the day-wise statistics provided by the Department of Tourism. The figure includes 86 foreign, 5739 domestic and 13,568 local tourists.

Comparative analysis with previous day informed that visits of foreign tourists recorded a sharp decline on 4th day, though the figure for both domestic and local tourists increased.

During the first four days of the 10-day festival, the main arena at Kisama has received a total of 56975 visitors so far comprising of 626 foreign and 11,077 domestic tourists and 39327 locals.
