There is good news for the people of Kohima, especially those residing north of Kohima in need of medical emergency and check-up.
The Oking Hospital & Research Clinic, Kohima today expanded its wing of medical services to denizens by opening Oking Hospital Daycare Centre at North Point, Khikha Rüleizou (High School), near Hotel Vivor, Kohima.
Formally inaugurating the centre on Sunday, the former chief minister of Nagaland, Dr Shürhozelie Liezietsu lauded Dr Vikethonyü Kesiezie and his families for expanding the medical services to northern part of Kohima.
This very much needed, he said, adding: “We take this as a gift from the hospital authority.”
Dr Liezietsu also commended the dedicated services being rendered by doctors and nurses to heal the sick, to cure the ailments and also to save lives.
Later, Rev Shan Kikon, pastor, Faith Harvest Church pronounced dedicatory prayer for the centre.
The programme was chaired by Dr. Vivotsolie Mor while the vote of thanks was proposed by Dr Vikethonyü Kesiezie, Managing Director, Oking Hospital & Research Clinic.
Nagaland’s urban development and municipal affairs advisor Dr Neikiesalie (Nicky) Kire and several other dignitaries also present at the programme.
About Oking Hospital Daycare Centre
Dr Kejavisa Savino said that the centre will cater to the working people who can come after attending the daily work as the centre will facilitate late evening consultation for stable diabetics, hypertensive and other chronic illnesses.
It would also cater to the people with conditions requiring immediate access to healthcare facility-acute pain, fever, injuries, accidents or even more serious conditions to be stabilized and shifted to an adequate hospital.
The available facilities in this Centre includes; Day Care (8 Bedded), Ultrasound, Echocardiography, X-Ray, Emergency & minor Operation Theatre, Laboratory etc.
The pharmacy at the Centre is well-stocked with all essential adult and pediatric drugs including life saving emergency drugs, Dr Savino maintained.
Ambulance services have also been made available. Meanwhile, there will be in house resident doctor and nurses soon to provide 24×7 services.
