The Chang Wedoshi Setshang (CWS) or Chang Students’ Conference, the apex body of Chang Students, today sealed all state government all the offices in Tuensang town.
Earleir on June 14, the CWS had sealed the office of the District Institute Of Education And Training (DIET), Tuensang after the Government of Nagaland failed to response to its ultimatum served on May 12 regarding the acquisition of land for relocation of institute in Tuensang. The Wednesday action was the phase II of its agitation.
Meanwhile, CWS President, C Pongsu, and General Secretary also reacted to a letter issued by the State Government to the conference where the former appealed latter to suspend the agitation stating that “the Government is actively pursuing the matter and awaiting SLAA approval on the said matter.”
While appreciating the initiatives of the Deputy Commissioner, Tuensang and the Commissioner, Nagaland, the CWS however said that it stands firm on the demands stated in its ultimatum and will continue with the agitation till government fulfills the demands.
