Piano concert and masterclass on May 23 & 24

DIMAPUR, MAY 16 (MExN): Crown centre for Music and Creative Arts (Music department of Golden Crown Theological College) in collaboration with TaFMA will organize a 2 day Piano Masterclass and Concert with Samuel King (Singapore), Albert Kanken, and Jenny He (China).

The concert will be held on May 23 at 4:00 pm, followed by a masterclass the next day from 9:00 am to 12:00 noon.
Interested candidates for the master class have been asked to register via this google form https://forms.gle/YGtMcSJa8ie583kB8.

The concert on May 23 will be held at Town Baptist Church Dimapur. The theme of the concert is ‘Delight in His Glory’ even though a majority of the pieces will be classical pieces.

Avoni Odyuo, Music Director of Golden Crown Theological College has asked pianists to take advantage of the masterclass “as having an internationally accomplished pianist willing to invest in our (Naga) musicians and build our skills without charging an exorbitant rate is an opportunity hard and rare to come by.”

“The main reason we wanted to push for this concert and masterclass is because of the many talented pianists blooming in Nagaland who have reached the threshold beyond which finding a mentor or teacher becomes difficult or non-existent,” she stated.
