Correspondent KOHIMA, JAN 7 (NPN) : Over 150 bikers from Tizit Area Students’ Union (TASU) on Thursday took a bike rally from Tizit to Mon with the banner “Justice for Oting” and later held a brief meeting with officials of Konyak Union (KU) at its office in Mon.

Speaking to Nagaland Post, TASU president Tahkai Konyak said the rally was a continuation of the expression of resentment against the delay in delivering justice in the December 4 and 5 incidents. He lamented that even after more than a month, there was no report from the Special Investigation Team (SIT) constituted by the State government and therefore he said such democratic form of agitation would continue till justice was delivered.

He said TASU activists expressed full support to KU officials during the meeting in their initiative and urged them to continue exerting pressure on the government seeking justice before the matter got out of their hand.

KU general secretary Wango Konyak said the team of riders from Tizit area led by TASU office bearers reached KU office in the afternoon where a short meeting was held.

He said the event was organised to express TASU’s resentment over the delay in delivering justice and express pain over the December 4 and 5 incidents. He claimed that the KU officials shared the ongoing initiatives of the union with the riders.

Wango thanked the bikers and informed them that the matter would be vigorously pursued till justice was delivered and sought continued support.

Konyak Students’ Union president Noklem Konyak, Konyak Nyupuh Sheko Khong president PonglemKonyak and KU adviser Konngam Konyak also spoke at the meeting.
