DIMAPUR , Nov 13: As part of the Nagaland police duty-cum-sports meet 2021, the Family Welfare competition 2021 was organised by Nagaland Police Family Welfare Association and lady wives of police officers and all other ranks at NAPTC, Hockey Ground, Chumoukedima on November 12.
Mrs. Kaisa Rio, wife of chief minister Neiphiu Rio, inaugurated the stalls set up by different units and also gave away the prizes to the winners.
Eye catching bamboo and wood products, fresh flowers, eatables etc. were seen displayed in all 30 stalls set up for the competition.
The event was also attended by DGP John Longkumer along with his wife Mesangla Longkumer, who is also the president of the Nagaland Police Family Welfare Association.
Under Bamboo Work category, 11th NAP IR Battalion bagged the first prize while DEF Peren and 6th NAP Battalion bagged the 2nd & third prize respectively. Under Recycled Item, DEF, Kohima was adjudged first and 7th NAP Battalion and Nagaland Police Training School were given 2nd and third prizes respectively.
