DIMAPUR, Nov 11: Chief electoral officer (CEO), Nagaland, V. Shashank Shekhar along with a team of senior officers from the chief electoral officer’s office held a series of review meetings with district election officer (DEO), electoral registration officer (ERO) and EROS, registered political party representatives, civil society organisations (CSOs), NGOs and BLOs of Kohima district on Wednesday in the conference hall of the deputy commissioner (DC) Kohima.
According to a DIPR report, during the meetings, various issues pertaining to the ongoing special summary revision of photo electoral roll January 1, 2022 as the qualifying date including issues pertaining to preparing and maintaining an accurate and clean electoral roll, different constraints and issues faced by the election machinery, ensuring proper implementation of the various election commission of India’s instructions etc. were discussed.
