Book titled ‘Beloved’ released in Kma

Correspondent KOHIMA, OCT 19 (NPN) : A book titled, “beloved” was released Monday at Kohima. The book was launched by Khriehu Liezietsu, MLA.

Liezietsu in his brief address congratulated the author Kopelo Krome for successfully releasing the book where emotions on different subjects and topics were expressed based on life experiences.

He hoped that through the book, readers would be able to relay one’s life and appreciate it even more.

Senior journalist and author of the book, Kopelo Krome in his address thanked his parents, family members and relatives for their constant support throughout his journey till the moment of releasing the book.

He said the poem was an expression of anger and frustration after the assassination of his brother Zekope Krome on August 15, 1987 in Kohima.

This incident, he said led him to start writing the poems to let go off his frustration.

In the introductory, Krome said that the poem was written mostly with thoughts of Nagas during the late eighties and early nineties, who had endured and experienced untold sufferings during the last many unforgivable and unforgettable decades, because of the forces against peace and freedom of Nagas.

He said the poem was written in protest against the so-called Nagas, who were indifferent to the call for a changing Nagaland but falling into the traps of easy living and blind in greed.

Opening the book with an ode to “To You Zakope”, Kopelo Krome dedicated the book to his family, relatives, friends, son and to all the Naga patriots.

Earlier, publisher PenThrill Publication House and a poet, Rita Krocha in her brief note said the poem was a rare piece of art.

The book was released in the presence of family members, church leaders, friends and well-wishers.
