Nagaland BJP stronger than before: Temjen Imna Along

Dimapur, April 18 (MExN): Despite many “sinister designs and evil plans” against its policies and programmes, the Nagaland BJP has not only emerged stronger than ever before, but is always at the forefront, asserted party Temjen Imna Along on April 17.

The Nagaland BJP has never deterred from serving the people of Nagaland even during the pandemic period, by carrying out manifold charitable activities throughout the State, he said, addressing the party’s ‘State Executive Meeting’ held at IMC Hall, Dimapur.

A press release issued by Media Cell, BJP Nagaland also informed that Imna Along also made a special mention of the BJP former Presidents and senior party leaders, under whose leadership party come thus far – with 12 MLAs in the 13th Nagaland Legislative Assembly, led by BLP Leader Deputy Chief Minister Y Patton.

He also expressed gratitude to NJP National President J P Nadda, BL Santosh, Ajay Jamwal , Abhay Giri and all party Karyarkartas for reposing faith and trust in his leadership as the State President BJP Nagaland, it said.

Meanwhile, addressing the reported ‘internal differences’ in the party, the State President said, “We may have different views and opinions, but our thoughts and hearts are one, and that is our greatest strength.”
“Nothing can break us if we are united.”

He also gave a clarion call to all BJP Karyarkartas present to work diligently for the upliftment of the party.

The State President also feted all the 12 BJP MLAs for reaching out to the grassroot people even in the farthest nook and corners of the State during the pandemic.

Meanwhile, the release informed that Minister Paiwang Konyak later moved for passing of resolutions with regards to party affairs and seconded by Advisor H. Khehovi and Vice President Hurui Zeliang.

The House, thereafter, resolved to give unflinching support to BLP Leader and Deputy Chief Minister Y Patton and State BJP President Temjen Imna Along, to carry forward the aspirations of the people and the BJP party, it said.

National Spokesperson and Nagaland Incharge Nalin Kohli, through his virtual video conference also maintained that the state unit under the leadersdhip of Patton and Imna Along will “achieve greater heights” and adviced the party workers to work unitedly with the key agenda to bring positive changes, it added.

Speaking in the third, session Deputy Chief Minister also highlighted various programmes, policies and schemes made available by Central government and implemented by the State government, the release said. Minister Panygu Phom delivered a speech on COVID 19 status in Nagaland.

The meeting was attended by the 12 BJP legislators, National leaders, State Executive members, State Council Members, District Presidents, Mandal Presidents, Mochas, special invitees and full time workers.

The meeting was also attended by BL Santosh through Video Conference ,while Abhay Giri highlighted on the future plans and programs of the party, it added.
